Yeo Valley Support Rescue Team

28/4/10 Blagdon-based dairy producer Yeo Valley and its farming operation Holt Farms have just announced support for Avon & Somerset Search & Rescue. Yeo Valley has given a cash donation and is giving free fuel to the rescue ambulance based on the Mendip Hills. This is great news for the team and they are very appreciative of the support.

For Yeo Valley, the decision to offer financial support of over £1500 to the charity was an obvious one. Director of Communications, Graham Keating explains:

“With our farm up on the Mendip Hills, as well as the production dairy and our offices in Blagdon village, we are very aware of the vital service that A&S SAR provides to our rural community. Indeed we have needed their services on a few occasions. The charity is funded through local support from both individuals and local businesses and it relies on people like Duncan Massey (Chief Rescue Officer and First Responder on Mendip) to give their time without financial reward. We are delighted to provide some well-deserved funding towards the charity’s running costs and also to provide free fuel for the ambulance.”
