15 ASC Log no 354. Team members deployed to assist Severn Area Rescue Association search for a vulnerable missing female in the area. The standby was at 08.39 and the callout came at 09.13. Team members searched rural areas and were stood down at 11.58 as the missing person was located safe and well.

14 ASC Log no. 728 ASSAR was put on standby at 17.53 along with Exmoor SRT to help the ambulance service move a lady with a lower leg injury from a woodland to the ambulance. The team was called out at 18.04. Team members located her, and moved her safely. Team stood down at 20.06

13 ASC Log no. 0091 Following concerns for the welfare of a male from the Cheddar area the team was called out at 04.28. Search teams deployed into paths and woodland south of Shipham. Sadly the missing male was found deceased. The team helped the partner emergency services move him to a roadside ambulance. The team was stood down at 11.19.

12 Glos Pol Log no. 133 Severn Area Rescue Association requested assistance via Avon and Somerset Police to help with a large search for a missing male in the Forest of Dean area. Several members deployed in the area after the callout at 10.55. Despite extensive searches from a wide variety of agencies nothing was found and the team was stood down at 19.31 pending further investigations.

11 ASC Log no. 699 The team were put on Standby at 15:40 then Called out at 16:00 to help the ambulance service move a young female who had collapsed in Rowberrow Forest to an ambulance. Team stood down at 17:34.

10 ASC Log no. 238 Request from the police to assist Exmoor SRT in a search for a missing person. Put on standby at 09.36, called out at 10.22 to land near Honiton. Stood down at 15.09 pending further police investigations.

09 ASC Log no. 262 ASSAR went on standby at 17.27 to help police search for a high risk missing female with dementia near West Coker. Called out at 17.58. Stood down at 18.42 as located safe and well.

08 ASC Log no 0262 Police asked for assistance from ASSAR as a vulnerable male in his 20’s had gone missing in the Wells area. ASSAR went on standby at 10.25 and provided advice on local areas. Team stood down at 16.59 as police had located the missing male who had remained mobile during the day.

07 ASC Log no. 1274 Police contacted ASSAR Incident Controllers at 00.04 following reports of a red flare on the cliff tops above Cheddar. Police resolved the situation and no action was needed.

06 ASC Log no 1034. Police requested the assistance of ASSAR following reports of a male stuck on cliffs in Cheddar Gorge. Team put on standby at 21.06 and then stood down at 21.14 as the situation was resolved.

05 ASC Log 507 ASSAR support was requested alongside Exmoor SRT to move an injured motorbike rider to an ambulance. The team was called out at 12.17 and stood down 13.15 following a successful move.

04 ASC log ASSARs technical rope rescue element was asked to go on standby earlier this evening in support of Avon Fire & Rescue Service and South Western Ambulance Service concerning the safety of a person in Avon Gorge. We were stood down shortly afterwards as there were enough resources at the scene.

03 During ASSAR technical rope rescue training in Cheddar Gorge it became clear that a tourist was in distress on the slopes. Team members quickly deployed to assist the person to a safer location.

02 ASC Log no 0252 The police requested the team’s assistance in an ongoing search for a vulnerable missing elderly male in Worlebury, Weston-super-Mare. The team was called out at 14.24. While the team were en route the missing person was found safe and well by police. Stood down at 14.57.

01 ASC Log no: 375 31/1/21 – 1/2/21 Following growing concerns for a missing person from Bristol AS Police asked ASSAR for assistance in searching Stockhill Forest on the Mendip Hills. The team were called out at 8:18. Four search parties were deployed during difficult wintry conditions, they searched throughout the day until 16:00. The team resumed the search at 11:00 the following day and were stood down at 16:18 pending further information from the police.

13 ASC Log No. 1017 The team was put on standby at 15:16 after a missing elderly male hadn’t returned home and his car had been located in Badminton, South Gloucestershire. A full callout was sent at 15:22. Four teams were despatched into the surrounding countryside in conjunction with police officers, police dog and supported by their drone unit. The missing male was located by a police team deceased in a field. ASSAR was stood down at 18:56. Our thoughts are with the family and we wish them well during this difficult time.

12 ASC Log no. 0326 Avon and Somerset Police contacted the team to help with a vulnerable male on cliffs in Avon Gorge. The team was called out at 13:50 but stood down en route as the male was safely in the care of the police, the team was stood down at 14:04.

11 The team was requested to help in the ongoing search for a missing Bath University student. The team was put on standby at 07:55 and subsequently called out at 08:01. A large, steep section of woodland with quarries needed to be searched, 3 teams deployed into these areas but no find was made. The team was stood down at 15:22.

10 ASC Log no. Avon & Somerset Police contacted the team to help search for a vulnerable high risk female near Street. The team was put on standby 20:34 and called out at 21:04. The search teams were tasked with working through a woodland, the missing female was located in the woods by team members and escorted safely to the other emergency services. The team was stood down at 00:26.

09 ASC Log no. 0960 The team were called to assist the ambulance service with a young male mountain biker who had injured himself in Rowberrow Forest. The team was called out at 20:06. The teams medics protected him from the environment, stabilised him and moved him to the ambulance and was stood down at 22:15.
